This page is about me. I think this is not surprise. I work in ITEP, though my life is not bounded by physics. Now I take part in the activity around the Hadron Forward Calorimeter for CMS detector (LHC, CERN). I am a local software guru in the field of experimental data processing. I am also involved into some Monte-Carlo simulations for CMS.
In addition to the physics there is another large field for my activity - Linux. From one hand, it was caused by our reality i.e. we should solve our tasks using our resources, from other hand, I am interested in the programming and now in the system administration. In 1995 I installed Linux on some PCs which in a time (after some upgrade certainly) became a core of Linux cluster SkyNet. This cluster now is the best computer system in the ITEP in terms of logic, ease of use, reliability, security and scalability.
Forgive me all this claim :-)
